Just popped in for an early dinner and the staff could not have been more accommodating. We met the owner and chef, the wait staff was attentive, bubbly and thoughtful. The atmosphere in the restaurant was beautiful, with fresh flowers and candles on each table. My husband and I wish the new owners all of the best as they made us feel incredibly welcomed and part of the family.
We arrived at 5pm and sat at the bar. Our bartender Lisa was fantastic! What a wonderful person! So kind and fun. My husband and I shared the buratta appetizer. It was FANTASTIC. Lisa recommended a wine for me to try - amazing! Hubby had scallops and I had lemon pasta with chicken. Both were good. Great service and atmosphere. Music was perfect, Dominick had set up to play in the main room. . Nice menu selection.
We had emailed ahead last night (Monday) to see if they could accommodate outdoor seating for an older person with a small dog coming from out of state, plus myself and my Mom. The hostess, Darlene kindly replied that outdoor seating doesn't begin until Memorial Day, but they would happily allow the dog inside. We were greeted with friendly smiles, a roomy, corner table by a window, and a bowl of water for "Phoenix". The atmosphere was serene, and comfortable. Olivia was our attentive server, who made sure we understood the plethora of amazing menu selections. Every bite of our meals (2 baked Haddock plates with saffron rice, "Fig-et about it" flatbread, and a seared scallop bake with mashed potatoes) were delectable! I don't go out to eat often, but when I have my mom and her friend visiting again, I believe Ciao Popolo will be our go to restaurant! Thank you so much!
Really enjoyed Mothers Day there with live music in the background. My lunch was the best I've had in a long while. The bartender is very good and on the ball.
An OUTSTANDING meal & experience. I had the chicken piccata and Penny had pasta primavera with chicken. Perhaps the best we've ever had. We loved the space; a well appointed dining room, gorgeous ballroom with large fireplace, and a fabulous outdoor dining area on the back deck which overlooks the river. Truly a very special place....we plan a return dining experience on the back deck with live music on weekends. Love this place! If you’re near bellows falls, this restaurant is where you want to take your first date! Fancy but casual, incredible menu, live music, awesome location right in downtown. I highly recommend the mushroom cavatappi... :)
We had a lovely evening on the patio. Service was prompt and positive. Meatball appetizer was fantastic. Lemon pasta and pasta primavera was delicious comfort food. Very good accessibility!!
Great place. We had dinner for my sister’s birthday and it was delicious. They have one vegan option in the menu but were very kind and changed two other dishes to make them vegan.
